This house in Brainerd, MN was in desperate need of TLC. The house had vinyl siding and was covered in organic stains such as mildew, algae, mold, and moss. I described the process we would take to remove organic stains and fully clean this vinyl sided house. The first step in the cleaning process is to determine the strength or potency of your softwash solution, in this case based off of experience I knew that a 1.5 percent SH solution with a surfactant would achieve the desired results. When softwashing it is important that you do not use a more potent mix than needed. The second step when house washing is to apply the softwash solution to the substrate, let the solution dwell to a predetermined time and then very thoroughly rinse the solution off of the substrate. This house looked absolutely wonderful when we finished and looked almost brand new. Making sure to get your house cleaned regularly not only insures an aesthetic looking appearance, but also allows your homes siding to breath which increases the overall life of your home.
